In accordance with the Michigan Workers Compensation Statistical Plan, every insurance company authorized to write workers’ compensation insurance within the state of Michigan shall file with CAOM complete unit statistical information. Unit statistical data is the audited exposure, premium, and loss information for a policy. Unit statistical data is used in the following product and services:

Note: Late unit statistical reports are subject to fines in accordance with the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Statistical Plan.
All unit statistical data must be submitted to CAOM using one of the options below:
All unit statistical data received at the CAOM is subject to editing to evaluate the reported data for accuracy, completeness, and reasonability. Some edits fail as a result of errors in the data submission. Some edits allow the acceptance of unit statistical reports with warnings. Other error edits call for the rejection of a unit statistical report. Failed edits require the resubmission of corrected data.
Data Reporters are made aware of failed edits for unit statistical reports via WCCRIT file on the CDX web site www.cdxworkcomp.org. WCCRIT specifications can be found on the WCIO web site www.wcio.org.
Data Reporters may send edit explanations. All explanations must adequately explain the reason for the edit failure and are subject to CAOM approval.
