The Compensation Advisory Organization of Michigan (CAOM) is preparing to promulgate year 2024 experience modifications beginning October 11, 2023. If you wish to have new rating values used in the promulgation of your 2024 experience modifications, please notify us no later than October 4, 2023.

Michigan Law requires each workers’ compensation insurer to file an Experience/Merit Rating Plan with the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). CAOM must be notified separately of your company’s filing. Please note, that if you are not electing to stay current with the most recent experience rating factors, this could cause disruption in the promulgation of your experience modifications.

CAOM has updated the experience rating values form below to be used this cycle. Initially select the carrier group, then each specific rating company, and assign the selected ERP parameters. The most recent statewide-based edition is the Proposed (2024) Assigned Risk ERP Rating Values. If you intend to select something other than the Proposed, please provide rationale/justification.
